Colliers has appointed Alex Sturgess as director within its hotels agency team. Based in London, Sturgess will provide hotel advisory services with a focus on the central London market.
Sturgess has 26 years of experience in the hotel sector. He previously spent seven years as a director at Savills, where he advised clients on the disposal and acquisition of hotel portfolios across London and the Home Counties.
The appointment follows a period of increased activity in the UK hotel investment market. Sturgess will work alongside the existing team to advise private, corporate and institutional clients on acquisitions and development.
Head of hotels agency at Colliers, Julian Troup said: “His extensive knowledge of the London market, combined with his well-rounded expertise spanning investment and development advisory, will be invaluable as we continue to expand our service offering.”
Sturgess added: “I look forward to working with the team to build on Colliers’ strong reputation in the market and to help our clients navigate the opportunities and challenges ahead in what remains a dynamic and resilient sector.”
