The Pig hotel brand has announced plans to reopen all of its UK properties on 4 July.
To mark re-opening, the brand is offering every room across each of its hotels to members of the NHS from within a 25-mile radius of each property, with regular guests being able to stay from 6 July.
The Pig said it will now be taking extra steps to ensure that all areas within the hotels are “thoroughly sanitised, clean and compliant”, and all team members will be trained in these new standards and timings of cleaning.
Additionally, the Pig-at Harlyn Bay construction team, which were in the final stage of completing the project when lockdown started, have now re-started work and are on course for an opening date of 31 July.
A statement by the group read: “The Pig experience may look a little different in this new norm, but the team hope it will feel the same; ultimately it will still be the same people caring for guests and delivering the attention to detail and personalised service that all have come accustomed to.
“The team will carry out government measures in a way that is true to who they are. Whilst the health and safety of the team and guests is of top priority, they want guests to relax in a space that feels familiar and that so many have built affection for over the years.”
