Kew Green Hotels has announced the promotion of Joanna Fisher to the newly-created role of group commercial director, in a bid to support the group’s domestic and international growth strategy.
This key appointment follows the recent announcement that Kew Green Hotels would expand into South East Asia with seven hotels, alongside the launch of a new Commercial Hub to support the region.
Fisher brings with her over 20 years of hospitality sales and marketing experience, having worked with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Starwood, Ramada Jarvis, GLH and The Ascott Group.
According to Kew Green Hotels, she “played an integral role in delivering outstanding results across all segments and devising new and highly innovative solutions for modern day leisure and business travellers”.
Fisher first joined Kew Green Hotels in 2015 as group sales and marketing director. Since joining, she has led the UK-based sales team in delivering profit for all of Kew Green’s properties in each of its major market segments including leisure, MICE, Christmas, weddings and corporate.
In addition, she pioneered a new sales structure in 2016 which saw the creation of its Commercial Hub, Kew Green’s centralised sales, revenue and reservations function.
In her new role, she will lead all of the UK sales, marketing and revenue management teams and drive the commercial activity for the group, both in the UK and overseas.
Chris Dexter, CEO of Kew Green Hotels remarked “This newly created role of commercial director recognises both Joanna’s achievements over the last five years with Kew Green Hotels and cements our ambition to become the leading international hotel management company, continuing to provide outstanding performance and industry leading profit delivery for our hotels, owners and partners across the world.
“Joanna’s role is integral to our continued success and I’m delighted to recognise this with her new appointment.”
