The Radisson Hotel Group is bringing two of their brands ‘‘under one roof’’ to London Heathrow.
Radisson and Radisson Red will occupy the same site near the London airport, becoming the first-ever Radisson branded hotel in the UK.
The property features two wings, with the first having 258 bedrooms under the ‘‘bold and playful” design of the Radisson Red banner, while more than 600 bedrooms adopt the Scandanavian-inspired decor of the regular Radisson brand in the second.
Guests at both hotels will have access to a shared restaurant, lounge and bar, with an exclusive reception area for airline staff.
The property also has two multi-purpose conference centres and 41 meeting rooms, including 21 syndicate or breakout rooms.
Tom Flanagan Karttunen, senior vice president of Radisson Hotel Group (Northern and Western Europe), said: “Introducing two new and vibrant brands to such an important international airport location is extremely exciting.
‘‘This is our first Radisson and second Radisson RED hotel to open in the UK, which marks a major milestone for the company. The extensive transformation of the property meets the ever-changing and growing needs of our diverse customer base.”
