According to reports from Sky News, the owner of the Hotel Du Vin and Malmaison hotel groups, KSL Capital Partners, is looking to put the two groups up for sale after its parent company collapsed into administration

The private Equity firm, based in Denver, Colorado, has reportedly appointed investment bank UBS to conduct a full review of strategic options for the Malmaison group.

Sky News reported that the review is expected to lead to a formal auction of the two hotel brands, which between them operate nearly 30 sites across the UK, hiring approximately 3000 staff members.

Hotel Du Vin and Malmaison were previously owned by MWB Group, which fell into administration in 2012.

This follows the news that the Hotel Du Vin brand has acquired Cannizaro House in Wimbledon, set to open under the brand in 2015, after a £1m renovation.

It is unclear how much the price tag attached to the sale of the group would be.
