The move follows the group’s appointment of Jérémie Dardard as COO, as it looks to expand across the US and UK.
Malik first joined the group four years ago as portfolio revenue manager, following positions at Guoman Hotels, Wyndham Grand Chelsea Harbour, Doyle Collection, Strand Palace Hotel, Dorsett, and Royal Thames Yacht Club.
The group said that since 2018, he has been instrumental in driving its distribution and revenue strategy, which has reportedly “outperformed” the USA hotel industry three years in a row.
Thomas Magnuson, CEO, Magnuson Hotels, said: “At Magnuson Hotels, the strength of our company and performance for hotel owners depends on the skill of our leadership team, and we are thrilled to be working with Adnan in this role.”
Malik said: “The magic never stops at Magnuson Hotels. Magnuson has been the forefront where you learn the four pillars of success in management: Planning, organising, directing and controlling, and learn how to apply them into wishes, dreams and ideas into reality. There is continuous learning, innovation in the ethos of Magnuson that develops you into becoming a better manager and leader.
“Working with such a dynamic team gives you a sense of belonging and purpose where you naturally become a part of a rapid growing company and celebrate successes and growth not only within the organisation but with your clients and partners as well. Never did I imagine that joining Magnuson on my birthday would make my wish come true to be a long term member of such an exceptional and successful team.”
He added: “Tom and Melissa continue to invest in individuals and the company to enhance talent and stability and as a result our growth on an international scale speaks for itself over the years. Continued mentoring and working as a collective with constant innovation in what we do as a whole can only lead to more growth and success in the coming years.”
