Cycas wins contract to manage London’s luxury Bankside Hotel

Located on London’s South Bank, the 161-room is a short walk from Waterloo, Blackfriars and London Bridge stations

Cycas Hospitality has signed a hotel management agreement to take over the management of the design-led Bankside Hotel – part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection – this month.

The hotel was acquired by Vertiq Capital, an investor active in the hospitality sector across Europe.

Located on London’s South Bank, the 161-room is a short walk from Waterloo, Blackfriars and London Bridge stations. With seven suites, the property has proved a popular choice for travellers since opening in 2018.

It said hotel guests also benefit from the all-day restaurant Art Yard Bar and Kitchen, a private dining room, an outdoor terrace area, gym, and four meeting rooms.

Cycas has appointed Zac Pearse as general manager. Pearse has previously managed hotels with Malmaison, the DeVere Group and Guoman and Thistle hotels.

Matt Luscombe, CEO at Cycas Hospitality, said: “We’re proud to have added our first luxury property – the intimate Bankside Hotel – to our fast-growing portfolio, and very excited to be working with Marriott International on one of their most prestigious London hotels.

“The Bankside Hotel’s ethos of being a social hub with a passion for their community strongly mirrors Cycas’s people-focused values, and we look forward to bringing Cycas’s trademark superior service and outstanding guest experience to this culturally-vibrant part of London.”
