The Montagu Arms appoints new general manager

Andrew Berridge will take up responsibilities for the day-to-day running of the venue, as well as driving recruitment, supervising the front of house team, operations and project management duties

The Montagu Arms, a boutique hotel located in Beaulieu in the New Forest, has announced the appointment of its new general manager, Andrew Berridge. 

Berridge reportedly possesses over 15 years of hospitality experience, gleaned through management and front of house roles within four and five-star hotels across the country. 

The Montagu Arms will see Berridge take up responsibilities for the day-to-day running of the venue, as well as driving recruitment, supervising the front of house team, operations and project management duties. He will also ensure the hotel offers the highest quality guest experience.

It is reported that Berridge joined The Montagu Arms from Stanbrook Abbey Hotel in Worcester, where he held the position of deputy general manager, managing a team of 60 people. He was responsible for hotel, restaurant and bar management, as well as overseeing large events and conferences. 

Prior to that, he also held senior positions at hotels including The Manor House Hotel, The Peppermill, and The Stag and Huntsman.

Berridge said: “Having wanted to work at The Montagu Arms for almost a decade, I am thrilled to take on the role of general manager. I’ve been fortunate enough to work within some fantastic teams over the years.

“I look forward to bringing my knowledge and experience to this hotel to help build on its already stellar reputation and working closely with my new colleagues to continue to deliver special and memorable experiences for our guests.”
