Room2 hometels is looking to build the senior team for its latest site ahead of the new Room2 Belfast, which is set to open in the Spring of 2023.
The group said it is seeking a general manager for the new site to help direct, lead, coach and train the team and help the growth and development at Room2, while managing the day to day operations of the hotel.
The Belfast property will feature 175 rooms spread across nine floors, as well as a café/restaurant, coffee roastery, meeting and workspaces, gym, bar and lounge.
On the first floor, four meeting rooms will provide space for events and networking whilst a large kitchen offers a setting for cooking masterclasses. The new opening will also offer a laundry room, a 40m2 gym, eight suites and seven accessible rooms.
Recycled and reclaimed materials will be used throughout with “nuances of the Irish city’s skyline”. According to the group, championing local producers and suppliers is a “key brand pillar”, with woodwork items used in the Belfast property all being sourced from within the city.
Belfast is the fourth addition to the London-based real estate investment and development company Lamington Group’s Room2 collection, following the opening of the world’s first whole life net zero hometel, Room2 Chiswick in London, in December 2021.
Ahead of the opening, the group said it was also looking to appoint a new regional sales manager, to own and manage a geographical region of UK&I and be responsible for developing new business opportunities for a set of defined segments from that region.
Charlotte Hammond, People and Culture manager at Lamington Group, said: “Our Belfast GM is going to be someone who is passionate about delivering ‘can’t wait to return’ experiences for guests in a uniquely room2 way but is even more passionate about developing the team that they have around them so all our colleagues can have the opportunity to be the happiest version of themselves at work.
“The general manager and regional sales manager roles are just the start, we will be kicking off wider recruitment in the early part of 2023 and I am looking forward to meeting interested individuals as part of the interview process.”
