AGO opens first Central London hotel in Paddington

AGO has opened its first Central London hotel, The Rove London Paddington Hotel.

AGO said the site, which features 75 newly refurbished bedrooms, is “perfect for tourists looking to explore the city and business travellers looking for a convenient place to stay before or after a busy day of meetings”.  

The Rove London Paddington Hotel is situated a two minute walk from Paddington station, which provides transport links across the city and the Heathrow Express. In addition, Paddington Station is a hub for trains to the Southwest of England and Wales. 

The newly opened Queen Elizabeth train line stops at Paddington and runs East towards Tottenham Court Road, with Canary Wharf reachable in 17 minutes. 

In addition, the new hotel is a five-minute walk to London’s Hyde Park and Speakers Corner, and a ten-minute walk to Kensington Gardens, and Kensington Garden Palace.

From the hotel guests can also experience some of London’s popular tourist attractions including the V&A, The Natural History Museum and The Royal Albert Hall as well as a wide choice of restaurants and bars. Regent Street and Oxford Street and West End are a ten-minute walk or a tube ride away from the hotel.

“We are looking forward to providing guests with a comfortable and convenient place to stay whether they are travelling for business, enjoying a staycation or visiting families and friends.”

Viv Watts, co-founder of AGO, added: “These past few years have presented the hotel investment market with challenges, but this new opening is an indication the market is recovering and there are new hotel deals to be done. We are confident the new hotel will deliver the returns expected by the owners.”
