The Vineyard Group has announced that Paul Shanahan will become the new general manager of its five-AA-star The Vineyard Hotel in Stockcross.
Shanahan joins the 49-room hotel located in Berkshire departing his previous role as general manager at the five-AA-red-star, two Michelin star, Gidleigh Park Hotel in Devon.
He was previously the deputy general manager at Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons in Oxfordshire, where he was employed for over 10 years.
Managing director Andrew McKenzie, said: “I have known Paul for many years and am delighted to get someone with his impeccable CV to head up our fantastic team at The Vineyard.
“I am looking forward to him bringing new ideas and initiatives to an already successful business and am excited to see what enhancements can be made under Paul’s direction”.
The Vineyard group currently owns or manages seven properties across the UK including the Donnington Hotel Valley and Spa in Donnington and the Brownsover Hall Hotel, Rugby.
