Singaporean-based hospitality investor, the Fragrance Group, has acquired the Grand Atlantic Hotel in Weston-super-Mare from Coast and Country Hotels for an undisclosed sum.

RBH Hospitality Management, the hospitality management company and current operators for 10 other Fragrance-owned hotels, has been appointed to operate the hotel. 

The Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset, hotel is located on the beachfront and offers 72 bedrooms with panoramic views, a restaurant and bar area, as well as function facilities. 

The signing marks the eleventh Fragrance-owned hotel to be under RBH’s management, strengthening the two groups’ partnership

This follows RBH’s recent appointment to manage Fragrance’s three new-build UK hotelsThe Municipal Hotel Liverpool – MGallery, Mercure Paignton and Ibis Styles Paignton, the latter of which is expected to open this autumn. 

David Hart, CEO of RBH Hospitality Management, said: “Our continuing relationship with Fragrance Group is a true endorsement of the levels of support and expertise RBH provides to all our owners. 

“The Grand Atlantic is the eleventh Fragrance-owned hotel within our growing portfolio, and we look forward to continuing to work with the team.”

Martin Rogers, who represents the Fragrance Group, added: “RBH are true partners of Fragrance Group and The Grand Atlantic Hotel is a wonderful addition to our UK portfolio. We value the RBH team’s support and expertise for this new venture.”

James Greenslade, director of Hotel Capital Markets at Savills, who acted for Fragrance Group in the sale, added: “Savills are pleased to have acquired the Grand Atlantic on behalf of the Fragrance Group and we look forward to seeing its success as part of their portfolio in the future.”
