Killeavy Castle Estate appoints new general manager

Matthew Hynds was operations manager at the estate for the past two years, where he oversaw operations across all areas of the hotel

Killeavy Castle Estate has announced the appointment of Armagh native Matthew Hynds as the new general manager of the hotel. 

Hynds’ appointment comes as he was already operations manager at the estate for the past two years, where he oversaw operations across all areas of the hotel. 

Having graduated in Event Management from Ulster University, his journey has taken him through various management roles in prestigious hotels and four and five-star properties across Ireland and Europe.

The hotel believes that Hynds’ deep understanding of the hospitality landscape, his commitment to exceptional service and his profound appreciation for his roots, will lead the estate into “a new chapter of excellence”.

Hynds said: “Being appointed as general manager of Killeavy Castle Estate is the high-point of my career to date. I have been blessed to work in many stunning properties throughout my career, but none so special as Killeavy Castle Estate. 

“I am proud to be able to contribute to the success of the estate through my role as general manager, promoting my home county of Armagh as a tourist destination and showcasing the fantastic accommodation, food, service and surroundings that Killeavy Castle Estate has to offer.”
