The Horse and Hound Country Inn, located near Hawick, Scottish Borders, has been sold for an undisclosed sum.
The Horse and Hound was originally built in 1701, and features a welcoming, traditional bar and restaurant area, as well as nine individually decorated letting rooms.
The business has been owned and run by Dawn and David Connachan, who said: “We would like to thank Simon for his efficient and friendly service throughout the sale.”
The inn has now been purchased by Mark Wallace and his family. The change in ownership “marks the beginning of an exciting new era for this beloved inn, known for its warm hospitality and idyllic countryside setting”.
Simon Watson, business agent at Christie and Co, who handled the sale, said: “I am delighted to get this sale over the line for my clients and I wish them all the very best with their future plans. This fantastic business was acquired by Mark and his family who recently relocated to Scotland. I wish them all the best for the future.”
