The Heights Hotel in Portland, Dorset has been placed on the market inviting offers over £3.75m.

Situated in an elevated position, The Heights Hotel boasts panoramic views over the Dorset coast and features 54 ensuite bedrooms, and several dining options including the Bistro and The View Café, along with an extensive selection of function rooms and meeting facilities.

Planning consent has already been granted to add 16 letting bedrooms by converting some of the lesser used parts of the hotel.

The business has been owned by Paul Wogman for over 30 years, who said: “I loved the hotel when I acquired it out of receivership 31 years ago and I love it to this day; I am only selling it because I am planning my retirement. I have a wonderful team of colleagues who help me to run and maintain it and I treat them as if they were a part of my family.”

Stephen Champion, director at Christie and Co who is handling the sale, said: “The Heights is one of the most prominent hotels in the area and trades extremely successfully.

“The hotel is likely to appeal to existing hotel operators who will want to take on the business as a going concern, and take advantage of the numerous upside opportunities such as creating more letting rooms to further expand on the existing business.”
