Hilton has announced its acquisition of the Graduate Hotels brand from Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners for $210m (£164.7m). The deal includes franchise agreements for existing and pipeline Graduate Hotels worldwide, with AJ Capital retaining ownership of over 35 operating and pipeline properties. Hilton aims to integrate the brand into its portfolio to expand its lifestyle offerings, leveraging its commercial engine for growth. Graduate Hotels will maintain its unique identity under Hilton’s management, with plans to grow its global presence to 400-500 hotels.

The Salthouse Hotel has unveiled plans for a £3.5m investment to introduce 32 new luxury sea view suites, further enhancing its coastal retreat experience. Additionally, the venue will introduce a new eco-farmhouse and has previously invested in The Lookout restaurant and a bakery. Committed to sustainability, the hotel has been carbon-neutral since its launch, employing various eco-friendly initiatives. The expansion is expected to create 25-30 new job opportunities, reinforcing the venue’s commitment to growth and environmental consciousness.

IHG has appointed Marcello Ventise as cluster general manager for Kimpton Blythswood Square and Voco Grand Central in Glasgow. Part of a £135m redevelopment project, the six-storey hotel will offer 1440 bedrooms, a gym, and dining facilities. The collaboration aims to revitalise Wigan’s retail, leisure, commercial, and residential sectors. The introduction of Hampton by Hilton reflects a commitment to providing high-quality accommodation and fostering the town’s economic growth and appeal to visitors.
