Adam Bateman, a seasoned chef with over 25 years of experience, has been named the new executive chef of Pan Pacific London Hotel. His responsibilities include overseeing all food operations across the hotel’s various dining outlets, such as the Straits Kitchen and Shiok!. Bateman joins from The Grand Hotel, Birmingham, where he served as culinary director and played a key role in revamping the hotel’s F&B concepts. With a track record of success in previous roles, including as group operations and development chef for InterContinental Hotels, Bateman is passionate about the hospitality industry and aims to elevate the culinary experiences at Pan Pacific London.

Homewood Hotel is investing £500k into expanding its spa and wellness facilities, including the addition of a heated vitality pool, experience showers, and a relaxation room. This investment follows the growing trend of wellness tourism and aims to enhance the guest experience. Future plans include the creation of new spa suites and meeting spaces to further elevate the hotel’s offerings as a leading boutique hotel.

DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly has undergone a complete refurbishment of all 285 bedrooms and hotel corridors. The design, inspired by Manchester’s industrial history, features a contemporary colour palette and sumptuous materials, creating a welcoming ambiance for both business and leisure guests.

Apex City of Edinburgh Hotel is undergoing a £2.9m refurbishment to increase its capacity and upgrade its facilities. The project includes renovating bedrooms and corridors, converting meeting rooms into additional bedrooms, and upgrading lighting to LED for sustainability.
