Moddershall Oaks Country Spa Retreat has unveiled plans for the construction of 14 new woodland accommodation pods on its estate. The new pods will cater to various needs, including doubles, family accommodations, a honeymoon suite, and a prep pod for wedding preparations. Exclusive use of the pods will be offered to couples booking weddings at Moddershall Oaks. The expansion aims to meet the growing demand for onsite accommodations, providing guests with a unique countryside experience connected to nature.

The QHotels Collection has achieved accreditation from the Meetings Industry Association (MIA) at six of its major conference venues. This recognition highlights the group’s commitment to excellence, quality, and safety in the meetings and events sector. The accreditation signifies adherence to service excellence standards and professionalism. The QHotels Collection also secured top honours at the VenueVerdict Awards, being named the N.1 Mid-Sized Group for Mystery Shopping and Event Planner Feedback in 2023.

Saorsa 1875, the UK’s first fully plant-based hotel and restaurant located in Pitlochry, is up for sale with offers invited around £950,000. The property features a Victorian baronial gothic style building set in private gardens and woodlands, offering 11 boutique-style bedrooms, a lounge bar, restaurant, and a large yurt suitable for wellness retreats. The sale presents an opportunity for new owners to continue and expand the vegan business model or diversify into other offerings.

The Holiday Inn Newcastle Gosforth Park Hotel has completed the first phase of its transformation programme, including the refurbishment of the Cheviot Suite, capable of hosting up to 500 guests. The extensive renovations feature a new ceiling, air handling system, modern lighting fixtures, and other enhancements. This refurbishment marks the initial step in a long-term investment plan aimed at enhancing the hotel’s meetings and events spaces. The upcoming phases will focus on expanding the Ridley Suite and introducing a new event bar and drinks reception area, aiming to attract more weddings and events while growing the meeting and events business by at least 30%.
