Phil McPeake has been named as the new general manager of Hilton Liverpool City Centre.
The 221-room hotel is located at 3 Thomas Steers Way, Liverpool L1 8LW, overlooking Royal Albert Dock.
At Hilton Liverpool City Centre, McPeake said he aims to enhance guest services, expand the hotel’s events business and “foster a culture of innovation within the team”.
McPeake joins Hilton Liverpool City Centre from Hilton Dublin Airport, where he served as general manager for over four years. Prior to that, he was general manager at Hilton York and director of operations at Hilton Manchester Deansgate. Originally from the North West, he started his career in the kitchen, including roles at Etrop Grange Hotel and aboard Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth 2.
Stewart Lorimer, area general manager, Hilton, said: “Phil is an excellent hotelier and with 23 years of operational leadership experience at Hilton, I have every confidence that he will do an outstanding job leading Hilton Liverpool City Centre.”
McPeake added: “I am honoured to be joining the team at Hilton Liverpool City Centre. The hotel has a fantastic reputation and I am eager to build upon its success. My focus will be on continuing to deliver exceptional service for our guests while working closely with the team to enhance operations and create new opportunities for growth. Liverpool is a vibrant city, and I’m excited to contribute to its dynamic hospitality scene, ensuring that Hilton remains at the forefront of guest experience and innovation.”
