Cycas Hospitality has announced the appointment of Philip Steiner as Chief Operating Officer across the UK, Ireland, Netherlands and Portugal.
The promotion sees Steiner assume leadership of the operational performance and strategic direction of the hospitality company’s operations in these regions.
His appointment brings considerable experience to the position, having served most recently as general manager at London’s Bankside Hotel, part of the Marriott Autograph Collection, where he combined his hospitality expertise with a passion for art and culture.
Steiner’s career with Cycas Hospitality began in 2018 as director of accommodations and serviced apartments, followed by a successful tenure as general manager at the 244-room combined Moxy and Residence Inn by Marriott Slough.
He holds a background in hospitality management from the International Hotelschool in The Hague and has held various roles in European hospitality destinations throughout his career, including positions at Rome Cavalieri and with Hilton and Starwood hotels. He is also a fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, serving on its London region board, as well as an ambassador for Hospitality Action.
