Apex Hotels has been recognised with six accolades at the National Hotels of the Year Awards Scotland 2025 at Crowne Plaza Glasgow SEC last week (Wednesday 26 February).
The awards, which aim to acknowledge excellence in guest experience, hospitality innovation, and strategic growth across the sector, were handed out to Apex Hotels following its continued investment in its properties.
Apex Waterloo Place in Edinburgh has won ‘One to Watch’ and ‘Brasserie and Bar of the Year’ following a £2m redevelopment which introduced Liberté Café-Bar and Brasserie and Bar 1819, both of which have been credited with “elevating the hotel’s food and beverage offering”.
Pine Trees in Pilochry has secured the ‘Boutique Hotel of the Year’ title after a comprehensive refurbishment in 2024. The project enhanced all guest rooms and suites, introduced upgraded public spaces, and refined the dining concept.
Apex City Quay Hotel and Spa in Dundee has won ‘Business Hotel of the Year’ and ‘Events Hotel of the Year’ in recognition for its “state-of-the-art” business and event facilities.
The hotel group has also won the ‘Group Growth, Strategy and Innovation’ award in recognition of its expansion strategy and ongoing investment. Over the past two years, Apex has acquired four properties – Pine Trees, Meldrum House, The Vineyard, and DoubleTree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro – broadening its portfolio to include both urban and rural destinations.
Angela Vickers, chief executive of Apex Hotels, said: “We are incredibly proud to receive these prestigious awards, which are a testament to the dedication and passion of our teams across the group. At Apex, we continually strive to enhance our properties and services to ensure we deliver exceptional hospitality experiences for every guest.
“These awards reflect our focus on innovation, strategic growth, and reinvestment – whether through major refurbishments, acquisitions, or enhancing our food and beverage offering. We’re delighted to see our efforts recognised at a national level, and we look forward to celebrating with our guests and colleagues.”
