Grantley Hall in Yorkshire will join Relais & Châteaux, an association of hotels and restaurants, when it opens in late spring 2019.
According to the hotel group the property is dedicated to conserving the “rich cultural heritage” of north Yorkshire, with an “abiding commitment to sustainability, people and the environment”.
Owner Valeria Sykes said she is “devoted” to restoring the Grade II listed mansion house back to its “original splendour”.
She added: “Relais & Châteaux is the perfect association for Grantley Hall as the key pillars are reflected in every detail of our offering, from the elegant public spaces, guest rooms and gardens, to the extensive facilities and imaginative programming.”
International president of Relais & Châteaux, Philippe Gombert, said: “Whether chef, hotelier of restaurateur, every Relais & Châteaux member must be motivated by a passion for his or her craft. Each must share strong values and possess a human identity that is fully committed and driven by the desire to bring local cultures to life.”
