Compass Hospitality has extended its UK portfolio by securing management for the Craigmonie Hotel in Inverness, its fifth property in Scotland.
The Craigmonie Hotel Inverness is Compass Hospitality’s second hotel in partnership with The Buxani Group, with the first being the acquisition of GoGlasgow earlier this year.
The 40-room hotel is located less than a mile away from Inverness Railway Station and serves as a popular destination for guests travelling in transit as well as for those looking to stay on in the city. The hotel itself features an indoor heated swimming pool, gymnasium, sauna, restaurant, bar, various function rooms, and a onsite car park.
Matthew Welbourn, executive VP of operations in the UK, said: “The performance of this hotel over recent years has been promising, and we are excited to partner once again with the Buxani Group to expand our respective portfolios. Inverness is a rapidly growing market, and with public investments being made into infrastructure and into the economy in general, we are excited for a real opportunity here to get ahead of the market.”
The southeast Asian management firm first expanded its presence to the UK in 2015 and currently operates hotels located in Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff, Nottingham, Cheltenham, Oxford, Eastbourne, Inverness, Coventry, Dumfries, Carmarthen, Scarborough and Dundee.
