London’s easyHotel Victoria has unveiled its new look following a £2m refurbishment project.

Located at 34-40 Belgrave Rd, Pimlico, London, the hotel has undergone a full upgrade with all 105 rooms enhanced with modern, low-carbon design elements.

Guests will be able to use new 4-star style mattresses, fast Wi-Fi, improved soundproofing, and 13 superior rooms with new workspaces designed for business travellers.

The compact rooms host a range of low-carbon enhancements including replacement of gas radiators with electric heating, reducing energy consumption per sleeper by 19%.

Additional upgrades include low-flow showers to reduce water usage, and eco-friendly toiletries such as refillable shower gel and biodegradable toilet paper which has cut plastic waste annually by 60%.

This commitment to low-carbon hospitality was recognised by Green Tourism, the leading sustainability certification provider, which awarded easyHotel Victoria the highest award of Gold certification, showing it has achieved 80% of sustainable actions according to the Green Tourism criteria.

The £2m refurbishment of the franchisee easyHotel Victoria comes as part of easyHotel’s ongoing commitment to reducing its environmental impact. This effort follows the prior separate £6.4m investment across the group’s owned and leased properties, aimed at cutting CO2 emissions by 25%.

Karim Malak, CEO of easyHotel, said: “EasyHotel London Victoria has been part of our franchise network since 2007 and it’s great to see them reinvesting into the hotel to bring a fresh and modern new look. Our easyHotel brand stands out to guests as being instantly recognisable as part of the easy family of brands, a leading travel brand across Europe.

“Our model of centrally located hotels, like London Victoria, coupled with smartly designed low-carbon compact rooms means our great value price has made them very popular for those looking to explore one of the world’s greatest cities without overspending on a hotel.”

Sameer Kassam, general manager at easyHotel Victoria, added: “This year easyHotel London Victoria celebrates 18 years and we couldn’t think of a better way to mark the occasion than with a fresh new look and low-carbon refurbishment. Since opening in 2007, our focus remains the same on offering compact rooms in a well-connected and central London location and great value prices.”
