Hospitality group, Myst Hotels and Resorts, has acquired the 77-bedroom Careys Manor Hotel and SenSpa in Brockenhurst, New Forest, for an undisclosed sum, marking its first international hospitality investment.

For 50 years, Careys Manor Hotel and SenSpa has been owned by family-run business, Greenclose Hotels.

During this time, the hotel has undergone significant investment including a £6m pound overhaul of its health club into a 24,000 sq feet state-of-the-art Thai spa, SenSpa, and the expansion of the East Garden Wing as well as its multi-functional conference space.

Myst Hotels and Resorts said it is committed to preserving the hotel’s legacy while introducing strategic enhancements that will further elevate the guest experience. Building on the success of the award-winning spa, the group plans to further strengthen the hotel’s wellness offering and sustainability credentials ensuring “Careys Manor remains a premier choice for both leisure and corporate travellers”.

Sandip Gupta and Rajdip Gupta, founders and directors – Myst Hotels and Resorts, said: “We are delighted to make our first international hotel investment in the United Kingdom with Careys Manor Hotel and SenSpa.

“Situated in one of the most picturesque regions of the UK, the hotel has garnered an exceptional reputation for its outstanding hospitality and award-winning spa. We look forward to continuing to build on this success by enhancing the guest experience while preserving the essence of what makes Careys Manor so special.”

Greenclose continues to own and manage sister country house hotel The Montagu Arms in Beaulieu and the Llandudno seafront property, The Imperial Hotel.
