Firmdale Hotels has announced that it has appointed Jenni Riley as general manager of the Knightsbridge Hotel.

Riley, who has more than 15 years’ experience with the company, most recently served as deputy general manager at the Soho Hotel for five years. In her new role, she will oversee all operations at the 44-room Knightsbridge property, which includes a drawing room and library.

She began her career at Firmdale Hotels after earning a degree in international hospitality management from Manchester Metropolitan University. She joined as a receptionist at the Charlotte Street Hotel before being accepted onto the company’s graduate programme in 2010.

Subsequent roles included events manager at the Covent Garden Hotel and management positions at the Soho Hotel and Number Sixteen Hotel.

Riley said: “Joining the Knightsbridge Hotel as general manager marks an exciting new chapter in my career. I look forward to working with the talented team to continue delivering unforgettable experiences to our guests and to foster a culture of excellence.”

Firmdale Hotels, owned by Tim and Kit Kemp, operates eight hotels in central London and three in New York. These include the Soho Hotel, Covent Garden Hotel and Haymarket Hotel in London, and the Crosby Street Hotel and Whitby Hotel in New York. The group recently opened the Warren Street Hotel in Tribeca.
