Apex Hotels has been recognised as Hospitality Health Employer of the Year at the 2025 Scottish Bar and Pub Awards.

The awards, now in their 30th year, took place on 26 August at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Glasgow and were attended by hundreds of hospitality professionals.

More than 100 venues across Scotland were shortlisted for prizes at the event, which highlights businesses and individuals driving excellence in pubs, bars and hotels.

The award acknowledges employers that place staff wellbeing at the centre of their operations.

Judges said Apex Hotels stood out for its focus on workplace culture, investment in wellbeing programmes and support for the mental and physical health of employees across its portfolio.

The company, which operates hotels across the UK, has emphasised staff development and long-term career opportunities as part of its strategy.

Averil Wilson, managing director of Apex Hotels, said: “We are incredibly proud to receive this award, which is a true reflection of the values at the heart of Apex Hotels. Our people are what make Apex special, and ensuring they feel supported, valued, and empowered is central to everything we do.”
