The Sun Inn, a freehold pub with letting rooms in the Northumberland village of Acomb, has been brought to market for an asking price of £425k.
Located on Main Street in Acomb, the pub is situated in a detached property about two miles north of Hexham on the north bank of the River Tyne.
The village lies close to Hadrian’s Wall, Hexham Abbey and several established walking routes, and the pub attracts a mix of local trade and visitors to the area.
The Sun Inn includes a traditional bar and lounge with seating for up to 34 customers, along with a small breakfast area that can accommodate up to 12. The bar features a log-burning fire and opens out onto a beer garden, which is used during the summer months.
The property also has six letting rooms, each individually decorated, with a mix of en suite and shared bathroom facilities. In addition, there is a two-bedroom apartment with an open-plan kitchen and living area, which has historically been used as owners’ accommodation.
Marslie McGregor, senior business agent at Christie and Co, who is handling the sale, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for an operator to acquire a well-established pub with letting rooms in a thriving village setting. The Sun Inn combines traditional charm with multiple income streams, and we expect strong interest from both lifestyle buyers and experienced hospitality operators.”
