The freehold for the Uplawmoor Hotel, situated in the East Renfrewshire village of Uplawmoor, has been brought to the property market for £750,000.

Extensively extended and renovated over the years, the former 18th Century coach house comprises a 60 cover restaurant, 45 cover cocktail bar and 60 cover lounge bar and a large beer garden to the rear of the property. The hotel also provides 14 ensuite lettings rooms, all of which are situated on the first floor and presented to a high standard.

Having owned and operated the hotel since 1992, current owners, Mr and Mrs Peacock, said: “We are selling the hotel to take the opportunity to travel and spend time with family.”

Stuart Drysdale, director at Christie and Co, who is handling the sale, said: “Uplawmoor Hotel presents a superb opportunity for an experienced operator to take on a successfully trading business with a strong reputation.

“The business benefits from strong levels of passing trade and the bar and restaurant are especially popular with both locals and visitors to the area. Benefiting from multiple income streams including the letting accommodation, bar and restaurant, the business could be operated under management or on an owner operator basis.”
