Swinton Estate has appointed Ramune Aleks as general manager, effective February 2026.
Aleks joins the 20,000-acre North Yorkshire estate from The Grand, York, where she served as director of Food and Beverage for nearly three years.
She brings 18 years of experience in the UK hospitality sector, with a specific focus on high-end Yorkshire properties.
Prior to her tenure at The Grand, she held general manager roles at Woodlands Leeds and Cedar Court Harrogate.
Her career also includes senior operational positions at Oulton Hall and Wentbridge House, as well as management experience at Leeds Kitchen by James Martin.
In her new role, Aleks will oversee the estate’s diverse leisure business and join the executive leadership team.
Her remit includes managing operations across Swinton Park Hotel, the Swinton Country Club, and the estate’s extensive outdoor and holiday cottage portfolio.
In a LinkedIn post, Aleks said: “Closing a chapter at The Grand Hotel within the Splendid Group, a place where I had the absolute pleasure of working with a supportive leadership team and a truly dedicated F&B team. Thank you for the opportunities, teamwork, and memories. Looking forward to starting an exciting new chapter at Swinton Estate.”
