The Stafford London has appointed David Monson as resident manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the hotel under general manager, Christine Hodder.
Monson joins The Stafford London having been director of food and beverage and operations at the Four Seasons Hotel, Hampshire. Monson will manage various departments at the 105-bedroom hotel in St James’ including front of house and food and beverage.
Monson has worked for Four Seasons across the USA, Bahamas and the UK. Other previous roles include positions at the Claridge’s and The Savoy in London.
A statement from the hotel said: “[Monson’s] wealth of experience in the hotel industry and in particular the UK market will ensure the continued high-level of service and five-star experience that the Stafford London is known for.”
The appointment follows the recent news that The Stafford London will now operate under independent status, having been formerly part of Kempinski Hotels.
