The Edinburgh Grand, a five-star Luxury Collection Hotel, has launched the Spa at The Edinburgh Grand, a wellness space situated within the former Bank of Scotland vaults beneath St Andrew Square.
The facility focuses on a dry spa concept, prioritising clinical facials and body therapies over traditional wet facilities like saunas or pools.
Located on the hotel’s lower ground floor, the space features three private treatment suites and integrated oak-lined walls with limestone finishes.
The launch marks the completion of the property’s transition into Scotland’s first Luxury Collection hotel, following a series of interior refreshments across its suites and public areas.
The spa has partnered with Spanish skincare brand Skeyndor to provide science-led treatments and diagnostic skin assessments.
The facility is managed by Catriona Ross, who brings 12 years of luxury hospitality experience from roles at The Savoy and Atlantis The Royal.
The service is available to both hotel guests and local residents, positioning the venue as a specialist aesthetic and skin health destination within Edinburgh’s city centre.
Architectural preservation was a priority during the build, maintaining the original proportions of the historic bank vaults.
The project also included enhancements to the existing fitness centre, which is equipped with Technogym hardware and located adjacent to the new treatment suites.
Catriona Ross, head of spa and wellness at The Edinburgh Grand, said: “My goal is to create a results-driven spa founded on advanced skin expertise and personalised diagnostics. Through our partnership with Skeyndor, we focus on measurable outcomes and strive to position the spa as a destination for skin health and service within Edinburgh.”
