Pan Pacific London appoints executive assistant manager

Pan Pacific Hotels Group has announced the appointment of Steven Drewery as executive assistant manager for its first London site, Pan Pacific London.

The hotel is set to open in autumn 2020, and will be taking reservations from Spring onwards. The site, located in a mixed-use development at One Bishopsgate Plaza, is currently under construction.

As executive assistant manager, Drewery will now support general manager, Anne Golden, on “strategic decision making”. He will also oversee Pan Pacific London’s food and drink operations.

Drewery joins the group from The Biltmore Mayfair, where he oversaw pre-opening and operational activity for the first London outpost of LXR Hotels & Resorts.

Prior to this, he has an “exemplary background” in luxury hotel management and food and drink operations.

He previously worked at JW Marriott Grosvenor House; Fairmont Bab Al Bahr; Giorgio Armani, Ritz-Carlton and Conrad in Tokyo; Swissotel Singapore; and Peninsula Hong Kong.

Anne Golden, general manager, said: “Steven is passionate and determined and I’m thrilled to welcome him on board to help execute our strategy and launch Pan Pacific London.

“With extensive operational and commercial leadership experience, Steven brings a clear vision to put Pan Pacific London on the map with an international audience and I very much look forward to working with him on this project as we prepare to open the hotel in Autumn 2020.”

She added: “I am thrilled to work on Pan Pacific London’s management team in a leadership capacity with Anne.

“I see it as an exciting challenge, especially overseeing the F and B operations, as each of the concepts should attract a wide diversity of guests and be appreciated by Londoners and visitors alike.”
