The new-build flagship hotel has been signed under a franchise agreement with Liverpool City Council and is set to be completed in Q2 2022. The hotel will be managed by Legacy Hotels and Resorts, an existing Accor partner and the management company for Accor’s Pullman Liverpool located on the waterfront by the ACC.
Situated in a prime central location, the Novotel hotel will be part of Paddington Village, a £1bn expansion site in the city’s Knowledge Quarter. Accor said the new hotel will be a UK flagship with “stunning” design features in both public spaces and bedrooms.
The architecture design is led by Ryder Architecture and the hotel’s public areas have been designed by Koncept, an interior design company with a wealth of experience in hotel design, with Faithful+Gould appointed as project managers and Morgan Sindall Construction as contractor.
Phillip Lassman, vice president of development, Accor Northern Europe, said: “We’re excited to announce the signing of the latest addition to the Novotel portfolio with a franchise agreement with Liverpool City Council.
“Liverpool is a vibrant city with unrivalled musical heritage, cultural attractions and is bursting with character. We believe the new Novotel hotel will be a great fit for the Paddington Village area, offering both leisure and business travellers a city-central location with an internationally recognised brand.”
Joe Anderson, mayor of Liverpool, added: “This agreement is yet another statement of confidence from the private sector in Liverpool’s future.
“We are delighted to be working with Accor to develop a property which will be one of the new focal points of the city. Liverpool is known for its world class hospitality and this new hotel will be a great addition to our offer.”
