Soughton Hall, a grade II-listed wedding venue near Mold, North Wales, has been sold for an undisclosed sum off a guide price of £3m to Castlefield Estates.
The property was sold by hotel consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), and marks the company’s second hotel deal in 5 weeks, following the £5.35m acquisition of the Nunsmere Hall hotel in Cheshire by Highwater Estates.
Hugh Anderson, divisional director of hospitality and leisure at LSH, said: “Investors are actively looking for opportunities with country house hotels like Soughton and Nunsmere Hall, due to the predictability and buoyancy of the wedding market and we expect this level of demand to continue for the foreseeable future.”
