Cornwall-based St Agnes hotel is said to have suffered “extensive damage” following a fire on 17 August.
The fire broke out at around 12.30pm with fire crews leaving the scene at 3.30pm.
The kitchen of the historic 17th Century hotel is said to be completely destroyed. An investigation is being carried out to determine the cause of the blaze, but it is believed it started due to a fryer.
Bill English, the landlord, told Cornwall Live: “It has been a really good summer for us, we have new chefs in and we have been serving a lot of food and have had a lot of compliments about the food quality.
“Now this has happened. We are trying to work out if we will be able to get an outside kitchen so that we can continue to serve food.”
He added: “We should be able to get back in soon, but we won’t be able to cook anything the kitchen is destroyed.”
