Roseate Hotels and Resorts has acquired The Dunstane Houses, a luxury five star boutique hotel in Edinburgh that dates back to 1851, for an undisclosed amount.

The Dunstane Houses are situated in Edinburgh’s West End. The property is set across two villas and offers 35 guest bedrooms and suites, a bar and restaurant, lounge, garden conservatory and private gardens.

Roseate Hotels and Resorts are said to be known for their understated charm, elegant interiors and mindful restoration of heritage properties.

In addition the hotel managers’ chefs have reportedly already created a menu of seasonal Scottish produce with a “contemporary” edge.

A spokesperson from the group said: “Edinburgh is a renowned tourist and business destination for guests from across the globe. We are delighted to expand our footprint beyond London, Reading and Bath to Scotland, adding to our spectacular collection of boutique Hotels in the United Kingdom

“Roseate Hotels and Resorts is committed to offer an outstanding stay and dining experience to its guests and look forward to contributing meaningfully to the vast repertoire of tourism in Scotland.”
