Pittodrie House Hotel strengthens growth plans with key appointment

Andrew Leggar has a degree in International Hospitality Management from Robert Gordon University (RGU) and over 15 years’ industry experience, having worked for both Scottish-owned hotel groups and multinational global brands

Aberdeenshire’s historic hotel Pittodrie House has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Andrew Leggat as hotel manager to help drive customer growth in both the surrounding area and further afield.

Leggat was previously the hotel’s weddings, events and front office manager. He has returned to Pittodrie House Hotel to oversee day-to-day operations and further enhance the venue’s reputation as a high-end wedding, leisure and business destination.

With a degree in International Hospitality Management from Robert Gordon University (RGU), he has 15 years’ industry experience, having worked for both Scottish-owned hotel groups and multinational global brands, starting as a hotel receptionist in Aberdeen city centre before progressing to various sales management roles.

Leggat said: “I’m thrilled to have been appointed to this leadership role where I can make a real difference to the day-to-day running of the hotel and, with the hard work and dedication of the rest of the team, help the business achieve its ambitions.
