Imperial London Hotels has announced that its London hotel will be undergoing what the company has called a “once-in-a-generation” refurbishment.
The Brutalist building will be transformed into a four-star deluxe lifestyle hotel, serving as the flagship of the family-owned hospitality group.
The refurbishment, set to complete in 2026, will include 357 rooms and suites, adaptable public spaces and a 10th floor panoramic rooftop bar and restaurant.
Cube Design Ltd has been appointed as the lead architect while Trevillion Interiors Ltd and Keane Brands have been appointed as interior designers.
Architectural elements such as the bold Brutalist exterior and geometric window design have been carefully preserved, whilst the interiors will blend renowned 1960’s design features with a contemporary palette.
Neil Braude, COO at Imperial London Hotels, said: “We are delighted with the reopening plans for Imperial Hotel, a highly anticipated refurbishment for us. Our commitment to providing exceptional service and memorable experiences is stronger than ever. We look forward to sharing this new chapter with our guests, our team and the Bloomsbury community.”
