Pub chain Brewhouse and Kitchen has acquired Beechwood Hall in Worthing and will operate it as its first hotel.
Acquired through leisure property specialists Fleurets, the acquisition marks Brewhouse and Kitchen’s 23rd site with the property to now undergo a “comprehensive refurbishment”.
The three-star hotel was closed and was brought to the market at the start of 2018. The new hotel and brew pub will open in spring 2019 and is believed it will feature ten double bedrooms and space for more than 400 guests for functions.
The Worthing transaction was brokered by Nick Earee of Fleurets, who said: “Beechwood Hall, situated on Wykeham Road in Worthing previously traded as a hotel, restaurant and bar; offering 8 en-suite letting bedrooms as well as a bar/restaurant with 80 covers and also a breakfast/meeting room.”
Fleurets marketed the property’s freehold off a guide price of £750,000.
Brewhouse and Kitchen managing director, Simon Bunn, added: “Brewhouse and Kitchen, would like to thank Nick Earee of Fleurets who has supported the sale to B&K.”
