The Briar Court Hotel and Da Sandro’s Pizzeria Ristorante, an established hospitality business in Huddersfield, has been brought to market off a guide price of £3.25m.

Developed in 1981 by the current owners, the purpose-built Briar Court Hotel features 47 en suite bedrooms, public areas, a modern reception, lounge bar, conference suite, and the recently renovated Briar Suite, a function room with capacity for 150 guests.

The site also includes 130 on-site parking spaces. Adjacent to the hotel, Da Sandro’s is a fully licensed 120-cover Italian restaurant which has recently seen over £1m invested in refurbishing the venue.

Strategically located on the A629 Halifax Road, just off Junction 24 of the M62, the property benefits from access to Huddersfield, Leeds, Manchester, and key transport links.

Managing director Sandro Bevilacqua said: “After more than 40 years as a family business, we feel the time is right to pass on this thriving enterprise. While we look for the right buyer, it’s very much business as usual.”

Robert Smithson, director in the specialist hotels team at Colliers, who is handling the sale, added: “This is a rare opportunity to acquire a highly successful business with further potential. There is scope to grow events and functions, improve hotel occupancy and room rates, or explore development opportunities, subject to planning.”
