Park Hyatt London River Thames has announced that its director of human resources Melissa Brette Ogée has been named Change Maker of the Year at the European Diversity Awards 2025, becoming the only hospitality professional recognised at this year’s event.
Hyatt was the sole hospitality brand shortlisted across the categories, with HyPride UK and Ireland – which Brette Ogée chaired – named as a finalist for LGBTQIA+ Network of the Year.
Brette Ogée has also recently been appointed chair of HyPride Europe, Africa and Middle East (EMEA), a role that extends her work in diversity, equity and inclusion across the wider Hyatt group.
The award highlights ongoing efforts within Hyatt to support an inclusive workplace culture and develop structured initiatives around representation and authenticity.
Park Hyatt London River Thames, the brand’s only UK property, opened with 203 rooms and a range of meeting, dining and wellness facilities. The hotel features an art-led design scheme, including a lobby installation by sculptor Charlie Whinney, and sits within close reach of central London landmarks.
