The Zetter has appointed the former people director of The Pig Hotels, Steve Rockey, as its head of people and culture for Europe.
Rockey joins the boutique hotel group as it prepares for several expansion projects, including a new opening in Bloomsbury.
He previously spent eight years at The Pig Hotels, where he served as people director from 2017 until April 2025.
His professional background includes senior roles at several other high-profile hospitality brands. Rockey served as head of people for Byron during a period of national expansion and held management positions at Pizza Express and Compass Group.
He also operated as a consultant through his firm, Esoteric HR, where he advised brands including Polpo and Hawksmoor on people strategy and succession planning.
The appointment comes as The Zetter strengthens its leadership team to manage its growing portfolio across the UK and Europe.
In a LinkedIn post, Rockey said: “I’m very excited to share that I’m starting a new position as head of people and culture Europe at The Zetter. Lots of expansion plans and a new hotel opening very soon in Bloomsbury.”
