The Stratton House Hotel, situated in the heart of the Bedfordshire town of Biggleswade, has been brought to the property market.

Occupying a three storey, detached property which dates back to the 17th century, the property features 31 en-suite letting bedrooms, which are situated across three floors.

Additionally, the hotel also comprises a recently refurbished bar and restaurant for approximately 120 covers, reception area, function room, and large commercial kitchen. Externally, the hotel provides 22 parking spaces for guests and patrons.

The current owners said they are looking to find an “experienced operator” to take over a new lease. Currently closed, the hotel previously traded “extremely well and benefitted from positive reviews” on TripAdvisor, presenting a new operator with the opportunity to build on the hotel’s long standing reputation and further increase trade.

Tom Orchard, business agent at Christie and Co’s Reading office, who is handling the sale said: “Stratton House Hotel provides a fantastic opportunity to acquire a well established hotel with significant potential for further growth.

“Ideally suited for an experienced hands on operator looking to establish their own sense of style and ideas, this is an exciting hospitality business in a desirable area for which we anticipate high levels of interest from a wide range of buyers.”
