Tokyu Hotels and Resorts has announced that The Hotel Well-hub Haneda will officially open on 6 July, marking the rebranding of the existing Kawasaki King Skyfront Tokyu REI Hotel.
According to the group, the facility will operate under a new brand concept designed to serve international visitors.
The site is located near Haneda Airport, an international gateway that has experienced increased passenger traffic during the current recovery of the inbound tourism market. The development aims to position the hotel as a base for travellers exploring Japanese nature, sports, and culture.
Operators Tokyu Corporation and Tokyu Hotels and Resorts will oversee the transition.
The property, which originally opened in 2018, features architecture inspired by a warehouse. Management states the site will move beyond a traditional transit hotel model to offer experience-driven stays.
The hotel previously suspended plans for international service during the pandemic but maintained operations through local engagement. Staff organised events including cycling on the Tama River Cycling Road, music festivals, and food bank activities.
A spokesperson for Tokyu Hotels said: “The Hotel Well-hub Haneda is not the birth of a new hotel, but a “new chapter” for a story eight years in the making.”
