In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. We discussed the reasons why Manchester’s visitor market is booming, and their decision to invest in this area, why they see extended-stay accommodation as a major opportunity in what is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, how they plan to enhance their portfolio of hotels, and their advice for the next generation of hospitality disruptors.

Marriott Bonvoy’s Autograph Collection has announced the opening of a new hotel, named Principessa, in Forte dei Marmi on the Tuscan coast.

Located in the centre of the resort near La Capannina, the 36-room property features a restaurant led by chef Jason Atherton. Each room also features its own outdoor terrace.

The building design uses sculptural lines intended to mimic the silhouette of a yacht. Local craftsmen used waterjet cutting to shape regional materials into textured finishes.

Atherton, who is an internationally renowned chef, will lead the onsite restaurant, Marias. He is supported by executive chef Giorgio Cicero to produce seasonal Tuscan dishes.

The hotel has established a partnership with Bagno Costanza. Its design also draws inspiration from the nearby artistic hub of Pietrasanta, known for its marble craftsmanship.

Laura Zanoli, general manager of Principessa, said: “Principessa Forte dei Marmi, Autograph Collection represents a new expression of Forte dei Marmi. With a regal yet fresh attitude, as its name itself suggests, it combines the global standards of Autograph Collection Hotels with the cultural authenticity of Versilia, inviting guests to discover the Riviera in a more personal, design-led, and intimate way.”
