Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort has officially reopened following an £80m transformation of the property’s public spaces and dining venues.

The resort, which was originally opened in 1958, now operates under the Signia by Hilton brand. The update includes a redesigned lobby, renovated pool areas, and new dining concepts.

The 1,000-room property aims to attract both leisure travellers and large-scale event organisers. It features 200,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 50,000-square-foot hall and 39 breakout rooms.

The refurbishment, initiated following an acquisition by Trinity Investments in 2023, modernises the facilities while retaining the hotel’s position as a landmark in Hollywood.

The property has introduced Club Signia, an exclusive lounge on the 33rd floor for premium guests. It has also launched The Verandah Social Club, an adults-only pool area.

The director of culinary, Miguel Santiago, oversees six updated dining venues, ranging from the breakfast-focused Palmea Kitchen to the signature steakhouse, Diplomat Prime.

Chris Nassetta, president and chief executive of Hilton, said: “The Diplomat has long been one of South Florida’s most iconic properties, and this transformation marks an important next chapter – not just for the hotel, but for Hilton’s continued growth in the region.”

Meghan Fitzgerald, global brand leader of Signia by Hilton, added: “Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort represents a defining moment for the Signia by Hilton brand as we continue our pivotal phase of growth with openings and signings around the globe.”
