Living and hospitality operator Ark Living will launch its third London co-living site in Shoreditch this August.
The project involves the conversion of the former Mama Shelter hotel building and features 194 rooms across six floors, with show homes currently open for viewing. It includes 162 studios for stays between three and 12 months and 32 rooms for short-term guests.
Monthly rates start at £1,799 under an introductory offer. Members pay a single fee covering rent, utilities, council tax, and cleaning. Shared facilities include a gymnasium, cinema, and communal kitchens.
The project is owned by Crosstree Real Estate. Developers prioritised restoration and upcycling during the refurbishment of the former hotel to maintain existing furnishings and improve sustainability.
Ark Living also plans to enter the student housing market. A new development in Canning Town is scheduled to open for the 2026/27 academic year.
Managing director Robert Alam said: “This is an exciting time for Ark Living as we expand our co-living portfolio across London. Ark aims to build connections across new communities, fostering creativity through welcoming spaces and dependability.
“Ark Shoreditch will do exactly that, tapping into its vibrant and creative surroundings. We hope members will form connections with each other, as well as with the wider city and the rich heritage of the community they are in. We look forward to welcoming new members this summer.”
