Scott Randall has been appointed as general manager of the Marriott’s new Courtyard hotel at Keele University in Staffordshire, which is set to open in the coming months.
Following his tenure at the Holiday Inn Derby-Nottingham, he will be responsible for managing a 60-strong team ahead of the hotel’s grand opening on campus at Keele University’s Science and Innovation Park.
The new site will include 150 rooms, a restaurant and bar, meeting rooms and a fitness center.
Developed by Keele Hotel Developments, the Courtyard hotel will be operated by Tower Hotel Management under a franchise agreement with Marriott International.
On his appointment, Mr Randall said: ‘‘My career in hospitality spans 30 years working for Concorde Hotels, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and more including project managing three new hotel openings in Shrewsbury, Birmingham and Doncaster for the Real Hotel Company.
