Private members club the Devonshire Club in London has partnered with hotel global network Mantis Collection ahead of appointing Steven Cowie as new general manager.
The family-run Mantis collection, which owns award-winning five-star properties, was awarded the management contract in a deal that the companies said in a joint statement will take the Devonshire Club “to the next level”.
Cowie will be responsible for coordinating engaging events and happenings at the club to enhance the member experience as he aims to blend the creativity of East London with entrepreneurs of the city. Non-members can access the building from Friday evening to Sunday to experience the “Devonshire lifestyle”.
Cowie said: “I’m incredibly excited to be able to announce my new position within Devonshire Club. It’s a beautiful members club and hotel, and like Mantis, I am similar in ethos with the Club. Having observed the developments over the past year, such as the opening of new restaurant Number Five, headed by Michelin star chef, Adam Gray, I really look forward to being part of Devonshire Club’s future.”
